I am so thankful I always kept a close relationship with my 'worldly' parents and brother despite the wedges the wt and the cong tried to drive between us. That's one way in which they didn't get to me and now I'm on my way out, another feeling about learning ttatt is a deeper connection to my family. I also always was secretly proud about my brother's career success,and felt guilty for it, so after years and years, I finally told him how proud I am,of him! I don't think he knew what to think!

Free. The weight of the world lifted from my shoulders and my guilt evaporated. I was so relieved and happy, and felt a new connection with the human race. I was relieved and joyful that my parents weren't gonna be killed any day now and free from the distressing images of my beloved mother's body being pecked at by crows, and so happy that my little niece will grow up.
Then I felt indignant and burned with the tatt. But then fear. Fear of losing my husband and friends. Now I feel like I have a lot to do and the world is my oyster.
It's an interesting process which is by no means over.

Yeah mum was never thrilled bout me becoming a Jw but figured it was my life so didn't get in the way. She's been waiting for years for me to wake up and is shocked by the things I tell her bout it now I don't try to put a good spin on,things to 'win' her 'without a word.' We've always been close despite the wt trying to split us but now we're closet.
Co public talk this Sunday and his last chance to hassle me but I gots the 'flu. Never been so happy bout being so weak an feeling so yuck.

My friend got bashed senseless by her husband - I'm talking hospital visits, and now she's crippled- and the elders kept telling her to be more submissive and not aggravate him, and also that she married an unbeliever so she'd made her bed and had to lie in it. She's now maimed for life, on a medical pension, and her kids are messed up. She left the jerk after three years because the elders kept telling her to stay and refused her help when she asked for it. Disgusting. I wonder if she could sue them for damages?

april 1st was my 6 months of not reporting service time and i am officially inactive now.
